Infrequently Asked Questions

What’s one thing you love about yourself? Have you always?

I consider myself to be a very kind, compassionate and empathetic person and very glad and proud to have these traits. These traits help me to get along with other individuals, understand others, be open to differences, ideas, perspectives and have empathy. I don’t think there is anything kindness, compassion and empathy cannot solve.

Do you think people can really change?

I do believe people can really change however, there has to be desire for that change. Along with desire, there has to be conscious effort to make that change and a motivation from within to change. Once we have the desire and motivation there are lots of tools, tricks and tips we have access to that can help us in the change we want to see.

What are you currently working through that others can’t see?

I am constantly working on learning about others; people who are different than me, different races, genders, ethnicities, lifestyles, sexual orientations, age groups, the perspectives they have, experiences they have, etc. so I can be better informed, understand them better and be a better DEI practitioner, ally and champion.

In a world of tick-a-box trainings and quick fixes, we at Be Equitable are going after something more satisfying -- we’re here for the transformations. For the forward thinkers and future leaders who know the journey is long and are still ready, we see you and we want to partner with you.

Let’s go beyond the buzzwords to create workplaces that work for people of all races, ethnicities, identities, and abilities. It won’t be neat. And it certainly won’t be simple. Our BE team is ready and committed to get it done.

As we enter this next chapter of our story, we invite you to BE bold, BE inclusive, and BE authentic to the vision you have for yourself and your organization. And together we can create workplaces that are just and equitable for all.
