Bio
We often know where we’d like to be – but exactly how to get there is a bit more complicated. Don’t worry, though – that’s where Kelly Leonard comes in. As Director of Client Experience, Kelly’s responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and delivery of client programs. This means coordinating the BE team and managing the program delivery process to ensure that, even when helping clients tackle truly thorny topics, it’s a process that’s as smooth and meaningful as possible. Kelly’s passion for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) work was ignited when (as a small business owner) she encountered roadblocks when attempting to engage large companies as clients. This resulted in her creating of an award-winning television show (“Small Business Network”) that provided programming and services to amplify and address the unique needs of local, small, and/or minority business enterprises through a Supplier Diversity and economic development lens. While Kelly no longer hosts the “Small Business Network”, she remains committed to address the inequities that persist in the marketplace and economically disadvantage local, small, and/or minority businesses. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a certified public accountant (inactive).

In 1999, I ran two separate marathons within one month of each other.
What’s one thing you haven’t done yet? What’s holding you back?
Traveled to Africa. The pandemic and scheduling. When I go, I want to be able to invest a significant amount of time. Thankfully, my sabbatical is coming soon!
